The one-hour bolt-on is data capped at 100MB that works only on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. The hour starts when you first open one of those apps.
How to migrate to Pulse
MTN’s Pulse page also lists *406*1#, but MTN uses that same code for another plan, so the SMS method is the safer choice. Migration is free, but a second migration within 30 days costs ₦102. If you buy a Pulse bundle from another plan, MTN asks for your consent and moves you without a charge.
Pulse Points
You earn points for your first migration to Pulse and for activating selected daily, weekly and monthly data plans and the Stream bundle. Points do not come from calls. Redeem them for data, alone or mixed with airtime. Dial *406*7# to check your points.
- Points last one calendar year.
- They cannot be transferred or used for data gifting.
- You lose them if you leave Pulse, and you do not earn them again if you come back.
When you register a new SIM with an MTN-authorised agent, you choose one welcome offer: ₦1,000 on BetaGist, or 1GB of data on Pulse, valid for 3 days. The choice is final.
Auto-renew and rollover
The special bundles renew when you opt in. Send RP300 or RP500 to 312 to switch renewal on, and NOP300 or NOP500 to switch it off. Unused data rolls over if you renew within the grace period: 1 day for the 750MB plan and 3 days for the 1.2GB plan.
Is there a daily fee on Pulse?
No. MTN says Pulse has no daily fee.
How do I check the night bundle?
Dial *310# or *406*3*3#.
Can I buy Pulse bundles on another plan?
Yes, but your line is moved to Pulse after the purchase.
