Glo Data Plans Ranked by Price Per GB: From Cheapest to Costliest
The ranking table below is built from the Glo prices listed at last check, with each price divided by the total data. The rest of this page explains how to read it, where it can mislead you and how to build your own ranking from the live menu.
Because Glo updates its menu, treat the ranking as a method as much as a result. The method does not go out of date.
| Rank | Bundle | Price at last check | Approx. cost per GB |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1TB yearly Mega | ₦150,000 | ₦150 |
| 2 | About 6GB Tuesday offer (24 hours, Café) | ₦900 | ₦150 |
| 3 | Night bundle, about 750MB | ₦120 | ₦160 |
| 4 | Night bundle, about 350MB | ₦60 | ₦171 |
| 5 | 165GB Mega | ₦30,000 | ₦182 |
| 6 | 105GB any-time | ₦20,000 | ₦190 |
| 7 | 2.5GB weekend | ₦500 | ₦200 |
| 8 | 875MB weekend | ₦200 | ₦229 |
| 9 | 64GB monthly | ₦15,000 | ₦234 |
| 10 | 42GB monthly | ₦10,000 | ₦238 on 42GB, about ₦263 on 38GB any-time |
How price per gigabyte is calculated
Divide the price in naira by the data in gigabytes. A ₦15,000 bundle of 64GB costs ₦15,000 ÷ 64, or about ₦234 per gigabyte. For bundles listed in megabytes, divide by 1,000 to convert, so 750MB is 0.75GB and ₦120 ÷ 0.75 is ₦160.
Use any-time data for the sum
Many monthly bundles split their total into any-time and night portions. A 42GB bundle at ₦10,000 holds around 38GB of any-time data and 4GB of night data at last check. If you rarely use data between 12am and 5am, divide by 38, not 42. The cost per usable gigabyte is then about ₦263.
The bottom of the ranking
| Bundle | Price at last check | Approx. cost per GB |
|---|---|---|
| 5.2GB monthly | ₦1,500 | ₦288 |
| 6.25GB monthly | ₦2,000 | ₦320 |
| 12.5GB monthly | ₦4,000 | ₦320 |
| 1.55GB weekly | ₦500 | ₦323 |
| 2.6GB monthly | ₦1,000 | ₦385 |
| 500MB hourly | ₦200 | ₦400 |
| 1.1GB two-week | ₦750 | ₦682 |
The smallest daily bundles sit even lower in the ranking. A ₦50 bundle of around 50MB works out above ₦1,000 per gigabyte. Small bundles are for convenience, not savings.
Why the cheapest per GB is not always right for you
- The 1TB yearly bundle ranks first but needs a very large payment and heavy steady use.
- Night bundles rank high but only work from 12am to 5am.
- The Tuesday offer ranks high but lasts only 24 hours and is sold through the app.
- Weekend bundles are cheap per gigabyte but only cover two days.
Pick by pattern, not just rank
| Your pattern | Best value area of the ranking |
|---|---|
| Heavy daily use | 165GB, 105GB and larger Mega bundles |
| Moderate daily use | Upper monthly bundles |
| Night downloader | Night bundles |
| Weekend streamer | Weekend bundles |
| Occasional light use | Small monthly bundle, accepting a higher cost per GB |

Mistakes in comparing plans
A ₦500 plan is not cheaper than a ₦1,000 plan if the second gives three times the data.
A cheap per-gigabyte plan that expires in a day only helps if you use it in a day.

A worked comparison
Compare the 64GB monthly bundle at ₦15,000 with the 105GB any-time bundle at ₦20,000. The second costs ₦5,000 more but gives 41GB extra, so those extra gigabytes cost about ₦122 each. That is far below the average price of the first 64GB. If you can use the extra data, the larger bundle is clearly the smarter buy. If you cannot, the smaller one avoids waste.
Run this marginal sum whenever you are torn between two sizes. Subtract the smaller price from the larger and divide by the extra data. A low result means the upgrade is cheap.
Questions people ask

Yes, it divides by total data. For any-time cost, subtract the night portion.

Final take
Price per gigabyte is the fairest comparison between plans, as long as you use the data you pay for. Rank the live menu, filter by your habits and buy the lowest cost per usable gigabyte.
