ABSA USSD Code for Botswana – *161*234#
Absa Botswana customers can open their account menu from any phone by dialling *161*234#. The service is called Hello Money, and it works without data, so a weak connection or an empty bundle never stands between you and your money.

How to Register
Registration is for Absa customers and takes a few minutes.
Forgotten PIN
Dial *161*234#, press 1 for forgot PIN and press 1 to continue. Enter your branch code, branch name, account number, date of birth characters, debit card digits and expiry date. Then enter a new 4-digit PIN and type it again to confirm.
Transfers and CashSend
- Absa to Absa: sign in, choose option 6, Funds transfer, then option 2, To other Absa account. Pick the beneficiary, enter the amount, choose the source account and press 1.
- Mobile wallet: choose option 8, M-Wallet, pick the wallet such as Orange Money, choose your own or another number, then enter the amount and confirm.
- CashSend: choose Cash Send, enter your PIN and the amount, then a 4-digit transaction PIN twice. Add the recipient’s mobile number, which is required. They receive an SMS voucher, and you send the transaction PIN separately.
Airtime and Electricity
For your own number, dial *162*234#, enter your PIN, pick Bemobile, Mascom or Orange, then enter the amount, choose the account and confirm.
For someone else, dial *161*234#, sign in, select option 2, Airtime Top up, choose the operator and select To Other Number. Choose once-off or a saved beneficiary, then add the number and the amount.
For electricity, sign in, select option 4, Pay bills, choose your biller, enter the amount, select the account, press ## and then 1 to confirm. The token arrives by SMS.
