Ibadan postal code
Ibadan is the capital of Oyo State and has multiple postal delivery districts. The general post-office code is 200001, while individual neighbourhoods have more specific codes. A street in one part of Ibadan may therefore use a different code from an address in another part of the city.
Ogbomoso and Oyo town
Ogbomoso and Oyo town are separate delivery locations. Ogbomoso is listed with 210001, while Oyo town is associated with 211101. Use the code that corresponds to the destination rather than the state capital’s code.
Iseyin and Saki postal codes
Iseyin is associated with 202101, while Saki is listed with 203101. These towns serve as important reference points for addresses in their respective areas. Smaller communities nearby may have additional postal-code allocations.
Moniya and other Ibadan-area communities
Moniya is listed with 200132. Other communities around Ibadan may have their own codes, and the city’s urban range should not be treated as a single code that applies to every neighbourhood.
How to use an Oyo postal code
- Identify the exact town or neighbourhood.
- Use the matching six-digit postal code.
- Include the street and community name.
- Write the local government area and state correctly.
Understanding postal-code ranges
A range represents several delivery codes assigned to different locations. It does not mean that any number within the range can be used for an address. Always identify the specific delivery district.
Digital postcode and traditional postal code
The traditional postal codes in this guide contain six digits. A digital postcode is a separate address identifier intended to provide more precise location information. Use the format requested by the website or delivery provider.
Confirming a delivery address
For a street or community not included in this selected list, confirm the exact code with the relevant postal office or official postcode service. Include the complete address to help distinguish between nearby delivery areas.
