MoMo PSB is MTN’s payment service bank. It lets you hold a wallet on your phone number, send and receive money, buy bundles and pay bills. The wallet starts with one code.
Open a wallet in 5 steps
1. Dial *671# from your MTN line.
2. Follow the prompts to open an account.
3. Create a 4-digit PIN. Keep it private.
4. Make sure your SIM is registered and linked to your NIN.
5. Fund the wallet and start using it.

Is it safe?
MoMo PSB is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria. Use only the *671# code and the official MoMo app and website. Agents should always give you a receipt, and you should check the amount on your phone before you hand over cash.
Limits and upgrades
MoMo PSB has three tiers of transaction limits. Linking your BVN with *671*8*2# upgrades you to Tier 2. For Tier 3, call the helpdesk on 671 after the BVN link. Ask MoMo PSB for the exact limits on each tier, because they are set by regulation and can change.
