MTN Customer Care Number and Contact Channels: 6 Ways to Reach MTN
Reaching MTN is easier when you pick the right door. Calling suits quick problems, while WhatsApp and email suit anything that needs a record. These are the channels MTN lists on its own site.

Where to go in person
MTN lists a store finder on its website. Its address on the contact page is MTN Plaza, No 1 Awolowo Road, Falomo, Ikoyi, Lagos. For SIM matters such as swaps and retrieval, use a service centre or authorised outlet with your NIN.
Before you contact MTN
1. Write down your MTN number and the time the problem started.
2. Note the amounts or dates involved, and screenshots of any SMS.
3. Say exactly what you want: a refund, a fix or an explanation.
4. Ask for a reference number and write it down.
What to put in your first message
Keep it short and specific: your number, the date, what happened and what you want. For example, say that on a given date a named service deducted a stated amount, that you did not subscribe, and that you want it cancelled and refunded. Attach a screenshot if you can.
If nobody picks
- Try again at a quieter time of day.
- Use WhatsApp or the chatbot, which do not need a free agent at the moment you dial.
- Visit a store if the issue involves your SIM or ID.
- Post politely on MTN’s official social pages with your question.
Beware of fake support
Old numbers you may see
Some older guides list 180 as the customer care number. MTN’s current website lists 300 as its network number. Nigeria’s regulator also uses 300 as the common help-desk code across networks. Use 300 first.
Is calling 300 free?
MTN does not state a charge on its contact page, so ask if you are unsure.
Yes, but never post personal details publicly. Move to private messages.
